FAQs

We know it can be daunting finding a new hairdresser, nail tech or beauty therapist. Asking certain questions might seem silly to you, (when in reality we probably hear them every day!) so we've put together a little list of frequently asked questions. But if we didn’t answer yours, please get in touch as we love to chat

  • We love children, most of us even have some of our own, however we prefer to have no children in the salon, unless they are having services themselves.

The main reason being that a salon is not very child proof and sometimes we won’t have space for them when we are busy. We allocate a certain amount of time to your service, and time spent settling a child will mean there is less time for your hair!

If you have no other options please let us know in advance as we would be happy to book your appointment at a quieter time to ensure there is safe space for them.

Children CANNOT be in the treatment room with you at the time of cosmetic tattooing, unfortunately there are no exceptions to this due to health and safety regulations.

  • This one depends on the service you’ll be having!

-Cut and Blowdry or wet cut?
We will wash your hair for you!

    -Dry Cut
Yes please, wash and dry your hair the morning of your appointment

    -Colour
Ideally wash your hair the day before your colour appointment. This gives your scalp time to produce a small amount of oil to protect itself, but not enough to inhibit your colour processing, lightening or covering grey!

We ask that you also please come to your colour appointment with dry hair.

Colour is pretty strong and can make it's way through most things, silicons and waxes being the exception, so if you use heavy styling products, actual wax, pantene, monday, dove or tresseme shampoo and conditioner it is worth doing a deep cleansing shampoo (or a purple shampoo) before you come in to get the most from your colour and make sure it doesn’t react.

  • We ask for deposits for all cosmetic tattooing appointments, as well as colours booked online, extensions and colour corrections.

The reasons for this vary depending on service, but often it is to allow us to order specific product/hair needed for you or to allow us to book you as the only appointment during that time.

  • This is probably our most asked question! It's also unfortunately the hardest to answer.

First off, it depends if there is any artificial colour in your hair. If it is natural, you can most likely get away with having a full head of foils or Balayage and a toner. If it is coloured the process can take a little longer!

We usually recommend taking it slowly, and starting out with a balayage type of colour to lighten up the ends first. After doing this once, twice or a few times, we can then look at doing foils or whatever else it might take to get you to your perfect shade!

The easiest way to get a better idea of the price is to book in for a free consultation so we can meet you, see your hair in real life and have a chat about your goals.

  • Yes! Pictures are great. They are the perfect tool to convey to us the look you have in your head, even a combination of two or three pictures, (the fringe from here, colour from here and length from here).

We will always do our best to meet your expectations, as long as you promise to understand that your hair type/colour/length/natural texture may be different to the pictures you’re showing us!

  • Please let us know as soon as humanly possible! We are super busy and can definitely utilise that time. Check out our ts&cs for more info on our cancellation policy

  • We understand coming to a new salon can be a bit daunting, however as our actual salon area is quite small, and we are usually quite busy, there might not be a seat available for your friend. If you do come alone, we promise to make you feel comfortable! If you would prefer to have a support person, please let us know and we can make sure you’re booked at a quieter time so there is a seat available for them.

  • If your child is old enough to be left at home alone then yes, if we need to look after them then no.

  • Yes! There is absolutely no pressure to be a client of ours to buy product. If you already know what you need you can even buy it online! If you’re wanting to have a chat with someone, pop in and we’ll do our best to help :)
